Nutrition Complete App Reviews

Impossible

The amount is controled by a slider that only reads out the new value when you release it, so it is impossible to get anything but "sort of close" to the value you want. Stupid is the only word for it.

Overpriced, could be much better.

Limits measurement to 100g, 1 cup mashed, 1 cup sliced banana. Only 3 choice of measurement. The USDA web data base this is based on also shows medium banana, large, as well as other measurements. There is a slider to adjust the 3 measurements shown, but it still shows 1 cup for example as 1.123, 2.345, etc.

Oops

I downloaded this by mistake. I thought it was a nutritional app that would track my daily intake of food but this just tells you the values for the food without tracking, I know I should have read more but just heads up for others out there. Also I agree the measurement system is not helpful at all, too difficult for its own good. At $4.99 you would think it would journal your daily intake as well but like I said my fault for not reading completely. IMO save your money or there are a few less expensive apps that provide similar info and track as well.

Very useful

For those who wish to have complete nutritional info for a specific type of food, based on the USDA database, this is very useful. This definitely applies to healthcare providers, and any other person interested in more than the very cursory info provided by most apps. It far easier than navigating the USDA website from the iphone! Recommended for those interested in access to this database.

Happy in Maryland

This is exactly what I was looking for - a complete nutritional guide to all foods. I wish that it had been referenced under USDA as well. At one point in time, I could get the USDA guide free for my Palm Pilot. This is worth the money for me in my practice.

Unit measurements are a no go

I cant get accurate calculations by the pound or just one pound or in ounces

Does What It Says...

Makes finding the nutrition info I need easy, wasnt looking for a tracker which this isnt. A bit pricey considering I could look data up on the internet. Only suggestion is that it should allow specific unit entry, instead of the slider bar. I cant get it precise enough for my liking.

Pretty Decent

Great for looking up actual average information on products, it would be MUCH better if you could type in individual amounts instead of using a slider. Thanks!
